An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
