I will dominate 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Former two-time unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
